Central Ohio is home to social groups whose goal is preservation of the Italian language and culture.  Several are local to central Ohio while others are national in scope, but all share a common bond in their love of things Italian.  Italia in Ohio LLC enthusiastically supports these organizations, their members, and their goals.  Our calendar lists many of their meetings and activities, and their WebSite links are given below.

Abruzzi Club
The Abruzzi Club was founded in 1947 by men who had come to the USA from Abruzzo region of Italy. Today the Abruzzi Club offers a warm, inviting social experience with periodic traditional dinners, bocce, and many other activities. The Abruzzi Club strives to maintain many of the traditions that its founders brought here from Italy and has created many of its own over the last 60+ years. Membership in the Abruzzi Club is by invitation only.

Piave Club
The Piave Club of Columbus was founded by American men of Italian descent in 1919. A Charter was issued by the City of Columbus recognizing the social and service organization comprised of business and professional men in Central Ohio. A Ladies Auxiliary was formed soon there after.

San Giovanni Dancers
You don’t have to be Italian or have previous dance experience. People of all ages who like to dance or play musical instruments are welcome.  Just for the fun of it!  The group meets on Sunday afternoons for weekly practice and performs at the Italian Festival each year.

Join us for the friendship, the workout, our short road trips and dancing in nearby festivals and local events.

Le Donne
The Le Donne group has as its objectives to preserve the Italian culture and traditions and to promote fellowship among women of Italian descent. Membership is limited to 60 women of Italian descent and those married to men of Italian descent, who are interested in the objectives of this organization.
